The results produced in the 2015-2024 <\/strong>period of activity by the STOPTIGRE <\/strong>project are numerous and concern both scientific production and outreach and third mission activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an age of polarized thinking and verticalization of knowledge, not only scientific knowledge, the need for branching expertise, capable of linking rhizomatically with all branches of knowledge, becomes evident and necessary. The extremely positive and fruitful experience of shared work, and with transdisciplinary approach, of professors and students of the Department of Biology of the University of Naples Federico II and the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, carried out within the project STOPTIGRE since 2019, has given rise to the need to extend the field of action and to involve other research profiles in future actions of study and environmental regeneration of the territories of the Campania region. With this premise, the M.I.S.T.A.K.E.<\/a> (Mediterranean Initiative of Science, Technology, Arts, Knowledge, and Environment) collective was born, which includes among its participants not only professors and students from the aforementioned institutions, but also professors and students from the Department of Materials Engineering and the Department of Architecture of the University of Naples Federico II since 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, faculty members of the M.I.S.T.A.K.E. collective have joined the board of faculty members for the new national doctoral program in “Visual Arts, Performing Arts, New Media, New Technologies, Music, and Cultural Heritage.” This program focuses on the development of research and training projects with an interdisciplinary art-science approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
